Buffalo The Misanthrope

I went in and asked the dude if he has any stylus cleaning gel and he gave me one of his old ones for free! He also recommended using compressed air to clean the stylus to reduce the risk of harming the needle. Also, he gave me a free single by Dj Kool with my purchase of a Green Day Dookie! Great place. Thanks bro.

Absolutely love this place! "Record Dave" is an encyclopedia of music, and Darrick, along with his wife April are some of the coolest people I've ever met, truly a great family environment, with an awesome selection of music, everything from hip hop, to metal, to classic rock, country, and everything in between! 10/10 would recommend checking them out! Great people, great music, and all around great vibes. This place is like a home away from home for any music lover! I consider these guys, along with almost everyone I've at their open mic nights family. Seriously great people here!

Absolutely the best record store I've been to since the mid 90's. Derrick and Dave are two of the most musically knowledgeable people I've met in a long time. Great selection that is constantly being turned over for the latest and greatest LPs, CDs, and cassette tapes. Wonderful vibe, sweet atmosphere, and one of the best open mic Wednesday nights I've ever been too.Give them a try. If they don't have it, they can probably find it

I’ve lived in Statesville since 1986 & couldn’t be happier that we finally have a record store right downtown and trust me, it’s EPIC!! Shortly after their opening, my husband & I discovered them and we’ve frequented it ever since. The owners put servicing the customer first and do everything in their power to find what you are looking for. Whether you want to step back in time, build up your collection, or give new sounds of today a go….you’ll get it all with Darrick and Dave. You’ll even find some hidden gems in this shop along the way. Collector items, artistic treasures, and more, you’ll leave fulfilled in more ways than one. My favorite part of going into 33 1/3 record store, is that I leave with more knowledge of music than I went in with. Learning about my favorite bands is one of the best parts about the buying experience. Would I rather order a record on line, pay for shipping and wait and never know all the fun facts there is to know? Or would I rather spend some time browsing, listening to music you can request and find out about music you never even knew existed. Yep, I’ll take shopping in person with these guys any day. It’s priceless!!

For jazz lovers, the selection is very small, but some high quality gems at a good value. The owner is very attentive and helpful, even suggesting music that he thought I might enjoy. The only reason for 3 stars is the limited stock make a trip only worthwhile if having another reason for passing through town.
