I travel all over the country and have visited many record stores, and this store is by far the WORST place I have been to.1. Prices are RIDICULOUSLY high. He is selling new vinyl higher than the exact same one at Sanity or JB HiFi.2. Customer service is foreign to the owner. That is unless you are white or a fellow boomer as he is.3. First time I was in the store I asked about some records in a crate under the table and he said they were not for sale, one month later I saw the same crate of records and choose some, I was rudely told they were not for sale as he hasn’t had time to go through them. However, when another customer asked about some records he bought out a crate and said “here are some, I haven’t had a chance to sort through any them but $15 each of you find one you like”4. Someone of colour tried to sell some of his collection and he was denied without a proper explanation or even looked at what he wanted to sell. When the person left the store, the owner though it was a good opportunity to bad mouth him while there were 3 other customers still in the store.5. Someone he obviously knew came in looking at stock and if a customer bought something and left, he would ridicule their purchase and choice of music.Do yourselves a favour and save your hard earned money to purchase elsewhere either online or even travel to Townsville or Brisbane, much cheaper and friendlier record sellers. The shop next door sells a few records and the owner is friendlier and I would much rather support him.

Was trying to find some pretty niche items. The gentleman and the store was very helpful and gave a lot of his time and thought trying to help me out. Very good record store

I had been to this store when ross ran the store nothing was too much trouble, I'm back here today to see new owner tried chatting wasn't very accommodating was interested in a few records he had mint or near mint on one the vinyl had marks on it so it wasn't near mint at all I asked was he negotiable he said no the other had the same grading but the vinyl had hazing all over it definitely not near mint and the prices were dearer than discogs highest price. He either has to regrade properly or price accordingly to vinyl near mint = no marks on media otherwise its vg+ check discogs gradings out there in black and white.

New owner has no idea how to run a record store. When Ross was running the place you pick up a few records, lay them on the record player yourself, put on the headphones and have a little listen before you buy. Went in today, with the new owner, asked if I could listen to a record. I was replied with a annoyed look and the record taken off me. I asked if he had some headphones and he said ‘nah, if you want to listen to it we all have to listen to it’. He then laid the record down and started the record from the start. He then stood next to me while the record played. Not my idea of searching for some new music. I walked out half way through the first track.

Amazing!!! This shop is such a wonderful treasure trove of music. Martin is so knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend at least an hour in store!
