As with many others here, I was quite sharply confronted when trying to inspect a vinyl. Fair enough, there were multiple A4 signs up (above my eye line as a 6ft male) on the back wall that I hadn't seen, being as I was looking down at vinyl a couple meters away the whole time. I can appreciate that. But to then chide me for daring to want to confirm with my own eyes that the "near mint" vinyl from 1991 was as it claimed, insisting I trust their 30 yrs selling vinyl as thought folk never lie to make sales,,, it was quite an unpalatable experience, and I would dare say entirely unwarranted vibe where I was otherwise a very calm and relaxed, contrite customer in the face of the correction. This was behaviour that absolutely disfavours repeat custom.Regardless, I bought the record. I'm home and listening, just finished first side. While the record does indeed LOOK near mint, there is significant background crackle and bop (even after a good clean). Further complaints about the audio could be made but may just be the mastering quality - inexplicably a strong left pan to everything below vocals, and generally sounding like a poor mp3 rewrite of a ripped CD from the early 00s with a lot of clipping, 'rattle' and sibilance - but given the disparity between the visible quality and the audio quality, and the seriously lightweight vinyl,,, I dunno. Maybe I've been spoilt by modern high quality, limited release vinyl.

Not sure why I'm seeing any negative reviews for this place, I've been a handful of times now and the owner is a very friendly and reasonable man and the prices are some of the best I've seen anywhere. I was after some rare my bloody valentine records for my collection and the owner was very knowledgeable and did me a great deal on them. Will definitely be revisiting frequently 10/10 stall

such a good selection of records and really friendly owner. great to see the stall is reopen and is operating with the correct safety measures in place, social distancing counters on the floor and even provided gloves for browsing. Thank you for your service and helping me choose some records and making me feel safe during this time!

Working away from home, I like to look for a used Vinyl store on my travels. This week it happened to be Vinyl Destination.Nice selection of vinyl from a committed and passionate seller.Well arranged and alphabetically organised. Reasonably priced with the more collectable records separate from the general crates.I bought a copy of Pink Floyd's -The Wall. Which I'm happy-ish with. The cover was somewhat stained and beaten up. But its okay, but only okay though. The issue I encountered was when I tried to inspect the vinyl surfaces themselves. I was very sternly told not to touch the records. That they were all cleaned and inspected and all played fine and the only reason the one I was holding was not in the collectables section was because the cover was in a bit of a state. I was told to "put it back if I wasn't intending to buy it".I bought it despite the rather stern and stroppy reception. So today I'm listening to it. Sides 1 & 2 play fine but have the odd wee crackle and scratch. Side 3 plays much the same but side 4 has numerous scratches and two sections where its so bad the needle jumps and repeats over and over and won't play the track through in its entirety.Yes it's a used LP, yes it's 43 years old but when I'm told it will play absolutely fine, that's what Im expecting.I can't take it back as I'm no longer in Coventry and I'm sure my greeting wouldn't be so welcome even if I could.A bit of a shame really. When I'm in the area again Vinyl Destination will probably be my last destination to look.
