Generally a very good selection of second-hand CDs including rareties at a good price. Usually worth exploring when in Reading. I am not bothered about vinyl but plenty there too and they once gave me a very good price for an album I had no idea was worth that much.

A real treasure trove for almost all music genres. I’ve stocked up on a range of excellent CDs and vinyl, namely metal and rock, but there have been many other top finds that have padded out my music collection. The guys are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, with a true passion for music - always good chat. The shop is well organised despite its expansive range. A must in the iconic Harris Arcade and visiting it makes my day!

The Sound Machine is the bestest place to look for vinyl! Comprehensive stock catering for all genres, and sensibly priced. I've bought some properly good pieces from this store and l look forward to my next visit, probably this weekend. To the reviewer who gave 1 star you were in the wrong store! You were in the nail salon next door!

Have known of and been a regular customer of The Sound Machine for many years now. Always an ever changing array of beautiful condition records at very reasonable prices. Staff are friendly and very knowledgeable.
