You can go to a lot of places to buy music but I continue to patron BlackByrd because it’s always a great experience.I recently picked up the Kanto YU4’s in Walnut and they’re f’n AWESOME! They look and, more importantly, sound so good. My setup is exactly what I need it to be and I couldn’t be happier. Mad props to Jesse for recommending them. I could tell how much he genuinely enjoys his set and I felt really confident in my purchase.I always look forward to going in and chatting music and appreciate all the help from their great staff. Mad props to Jason, Dean, Nolan, Mustafa, Jesse and the whole crew!

Meh, can't say I was really knocked off my feet, front counter faces patrons backs so the entire time your looking for music it feels like your being creeped on. Would be worth checking out if their hours were something special maybe but a record store that closes at 6pm every day of the week isn't going to be a place I'm going to go to when I get off at 430pm and I'm not fighting traffic and crowds on the weekend on Whyte Ave when there's no where to park.

I've walked by this place for years and only popped by only a couple times. That changed earlier this year when I bought myself a turntable and started collecting records again for the first time in 15 years. I've been stopping by regularly and it's always a great experience. It's a super chill and cozy location, the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and the selection is just stellar. I always pop in to browse and I end up leaving with an armful of vinyl. Their communication is excellent too. They're very knowledgeable through email and post their recent new stock on instagram, which is very helpful if you want them to hold a rare record that can sell out quickly. This is definitely my go to for new releases or a cool place to kill time at. Highly recommended.
