Owner was quirky and wonderful, like any music lover should be. Loved this spot. He actual is legit, listens to the records before he sells. Wonderful experience.

Small and cluttered. I was looking for vinyl records. He seemed to have mostly 70s music. Did not have anything I was looking for. The good thing about this place are the prices. You actually get a deal here unlike a different record store in LR we visited.

Been-Around records is nothing short of a cultural institution in Little Rock. Though John, the proprietor, is far too humble to own that claim. Over the decades, it has been a constant source for rare finds reasonably priced. More significantly, it has intentionally curated music of importance that would have been inaccessible before digital distribution. I found records on my last visit that were unexpected. I was surprised to see that the prices were much more reasonable than the current bubble of vinyl prices. It may take longer than expected to find something. But it is worth digging to find buried treasure.

Bought a couple vinyls today. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Got a limited edition 1978 disc at a competitive price. Will definitely go back.
