This is easily the best record store in Iowa. With so many accessories, poster gallery, local blown glass, all sorts of vintage clothing. The staff is knowledgeable and so friendly! It's a very pleasant atmosphere, the vibe is amazing. So many cool things in this store

My girlfriend and I visited while we were in town for a show for the first time and we were amazed by the owners knowledge, stories and collection. Any cool vintage clothing and accessories you think of he has it and has a story about it. I highly suggest stopping in to chat and grab some sick stuff like the mint Marlboro windbreaker I got.

The best shop in des moines, they have things ranging from novelties, ashe trays. Collectible series of movies, music fictional figures and anything you can think of. It's my favorite store and I always have a fun time looking at everything, they have something new every time I'm there. They also have the best longest burning ensencts I've ever burned. I stay away from day dreams, because the staff is rude and is checking you for shop lifting and such, and I hate that. There's always something in there that will make you smile and find something for anyone no matter their age, I love this store and support my local record store.

I borrowed this tape from the older neighbor kid when I was like 11, 12. One of the first times I heard music that kind of scared me. Been wanting a copy on cassette for years, and found it tonight at Ratt's. Awesome store!

Fantastic store. It's basically like going to someone's garage sale, they've just made that experience into a store. Aside from a huge selection of vinyl (almost all of which is 90s and older), they sell vintage clothing (which, by the way, is now stuff from the 90s. If the 70s was vintage in the 90s, well...), Hot Wheels (most of which appeared to be reasonably priced), various memorabilia, collectibles, CDs, cassettes, DVDs, paintings and posters, etc. They have a cool collection of signatures from various artists also available, and a table of merchandise dedicated entirely to local musicians.I'm fairly certain this store was the result of a personal collection/stash/hoard getting out of control, and someone suggesting, perhaps sarcastically, that there was enough around to open a store, so they did. No matter what, cool store, cool stuff, reasonable prices.
