Friendly staff with an excellent selection of pop, rock, jazz, and many more on vinyl and CD. Also kitty.

They stay current and still offer retro music media. This record store and the one literally next to it are 2 of the best music/vinyl stores I've been to in a while. I will keep coming to these 2 stores for my music needs and wants.

On a break from working my wife's tent at the Sugar Creek Arts Festival during an unseasonably hot October Sunday afternoon, I decided to drop in this shop to check out the stock, and to be honest, take in some free air conditioning.I was met immediately with a "Howdy!" from the human working at the front, and to my surprise, a "purr" from the cat working the stacks. That's where I met Murph the cat, who became the best browsing companion-slash-loss prevention staff-slash-salesperson.Murph was probably just in it for the pets, but he kept me company while I flipped through the great selection of vinyl, CDs, and cassettes. My browsing time was partly interrupted into an impromptu cat photo sesh, but I still landed on an unexpected hit with a John Prine RSD box set! After I paid for my vinyl score, I was able to leave it inside the store while I went back to work, keeping it away from the heat and sun, and then picked it up later that afternoon. I really appreciated that!I can't wait to visit this shop the next time I am in town!!

I can honestly say this is my favorite record shop I've ever been to. I live 2 and a half hours away so I can't come as often as I wish. When I do get to go they always have albums that I just can't find anywhere else. Things that are hard to come by even online. It's always well organized and priced as well. The people who run it are the best. Always very friendly and personable, and they know their stuff! Thank you Waiting Room!

I am a record collector and love going to record stores and this might be the best record store I've ever been to. Their vinyl selection is amazing. Almost all the albums I saw there were new and in great shape. I've gotten some of my favorite additions to my collection from there. I got an amazing Flight of the Conchords, I Told You I Was Freaky on vinyl. I got two singles by The White Stripes (The Hardest Button to Button, Fell in Love With a Girl). Then the second time I went there I got David Bowie's Blue Jean on a 7" blue colored vinyl. And just recently I got a rare White Stripes White Blood Cells on a peppermint colored vinyl. When I went to check out while getting the White Blood Cells vinyl, the person working there told me some details about the release. Then there's the big selling point, Murph the cat, the idea of a cat and a record store is adorable and an amazing marketing tactic. The main reason I went there was because there was a cat. Any record collector would want to go there just to see the cat. Murph isn't just a great marketing tactic, Murph is also adorable. On my first visit there I got this amazing picture of Murph on a record player. So this record store is definitely a six out of five experience.
