At the moment, little more than a bulging pop-up location. Soon to come - a spacious new store that promises to be a music-head's dream come true. Extra star in anticipation.

This is a great record shop with an eclectic collection. They have great turnover and a knowledgeable guy behind the counter. Prices run high, but the relative rarity of most of the albums helps explain that. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

I cannot recommend the owner of this shop more highly. He went out of his way to copy some old cassettes of family music for me. It would've been easier to say no but he said yes even though it involved extra work. He was also very friendly and easy to work with. He represents the very best of small business owners. Thank you!!

When I go to most local physical music stores around NM, usually the selection of music they have is pretty one-note. Often times they are only carrying recent Pop releases or repressed classic 70s & 80s albums. Though Heads Up Music had some of these items, the stock and diversity of music ranged from video game soundtracks to folk & rock music to electronica, which all are available on a wide variety of formats which was great to see next to the interesting selection of vintage audio equipment & vinyl art. Even the dividers in the vinyl record bins are all beautifully painted. Staff running the store was very knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the music. Able to help me find some deep house records that I'm really looking forward to DJing with. If you're looking for an authentic music store with a wide variety of merchandise while you're rolling through Taos, this is it.

Caveat emptor!!Unpleasantly surprised and disappointed upon a visit to the local record store. They often carry used music and audio gear on consignment.I took interest in a pair of tower speakers, the guy said he had just picked them up couple days ago, and goes on about how he looked them up online and they were by a European manufacturer and seem slightly obscure (insinuating value.)They still had stickers from the CAV - local non-profit thrift store @ $10ea!!He'll probably try to get close to $100ea!...Let the buyer beware indeed!
