Jim Darrell

A fantastic record store with tons of inventory! CDs, Tapes, DVDs and Records. Super friendly and helpful staff. I got some killer stuff for a great price. If I lived in Reno, I'd be a regular!

I didn't check everything out, but they had a good selection of records. I got a Ric Ocasek record called Beatitude that I didn't know existed among other albums. I didn't by a record player since they didn't have speakers to sell with them. A guy there gave me his business card and said I can check back in for when speakers come in. If I lived in Reno I would take him up on the offer. They also have posters, cd's & other music related items for sale.

The prices are very steep. It was our first visit, and I must admit that I was expecting more based on a lot of these reviews. Most of their new stock is $10-$15 higher than most other retail options, and their previously-owned/used stock is around 50% higher priced than most used media retail options (online and locally). The place is small so I suggest going on a weekday when it's less busier. Overall, they provide a much needed service to the area for both casual collectors and melophiles, but you'll need to save up if you're going to want to stock/re-stock your collection.

Really cool place, very chill, huge selection. Prices are good, seem a little high on a few things but overall worth it. Can be a little hard to find what you are looking for but half the fun is searching through the stuff. Grabbed 3 records as a gift for a friend and paid $17, which felt more than fair. Location is nice right in midtown with a lot of other fun stuff within walking distance. Midtown is a hassle to park in but once you find a spot everything is very walkable. We were able to snag road parking right across the street.

My husband collects albums and we found this store on Google and decided to visit...He loved it and would definitely come here again when in town.
