Awesome store -- so many treasures to find! The owner, Jared, set me up with a really amazing restored vintage record player, amp, and speakers. He was really thoughtful and knowledgable about the process. Record selection is great and I know I'll be back often!

Stopped in for my first time (and definitely not the last) today. Fantastic shop with excellent selections for both new and used records. Also has a solid selection of stereo equipment and some cool art work. Absolutely worth stopping by

Great record selection, along with vintage sterio equipment, awesome handmade objects like ceramics, blankets and art! I love that this store exists and the owner is super friendly and knowledgeable. This postage stamp of a record shop around the back of a Mexican restaurant and liquor store in the small rural town of Stanfordville, NY (final resting place of Scrabble inventor Alfred Mosher Butts and last residence of James Cagney) is arguably the coolest spot between Albany and NYC. An old school record store with a small, well curated selection of original albums (mostly rock and roll from the 60’s to 90’s, some jazz and soul) as well as some new pressings. The walls are lined with classic, often rare, albums whose cover art alone is worthy of display. There’s even the white whale Velvet Underground with Nico album designed by Warhol with the “peel slowly and see” banana on the cover (I’ve only laid eyes on one other, at the long defunct Bleecker Street Records too many decades ago to count). There is also other original artwork on display along side the album art as well as turntables for sale refurbished by the owner/proprietor, who, in addition, is more than happy to search for hard to find records on your behalf. He recently found me an original copy of Richard Hell’s Blank Generation, for which I’ve been searching for years (mail order is for amateurs). Ten minutes off the Taconic, 20 minutes from Rhinebeck, this is a detour any record collector or music lover would want to take.
