Music Boxx Records

Made a purchase on Black Friday and the vinyl was clearly defective. Did not keep my receipt and couldn’t make it back to the store for a few days. Went in with the unplayable record and was greeted by another staff member who immediately resolved the issue by letting me pick up a replacement, no questions asked and even prioritized my issue over a few other customers (they didn’t mind because they were curious about the defect too). He also opened the new vinyl to make sure there was not another issue. This was my first purchase from Music Boxx since relocating to Sheboygan. Will definitely be returning to add to our 200+ vinyl collection. We love supporting local small business. And truly appreciate awesome customer service. Highly recommend to all music lovers.

Every time I visit Music Boxx, I seem to find a few more albums to pick up! Compared to record stores throughout Wisconsin, or even online, the prices here are always incredibly fair - and often lower than you can find anywhere. Plus the workers are always really welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful! The variety of records is great, and there's often a surprise gem - something you wouldn't expect to find in little ole' Sheboygan! Whether you're a lifelong collector, or a newbie, you won't regret checking out this local shop!

Nice selection of vinyl. I found a lot more to buy than I was expecting. Bright too! Very easy to browse.

This is a nice little independent record shop+.(cd's, movies, etc.) There is a pretty decent collection. The staff is always friendly and ready to answer any questions you may have. They definitely cornered the market for vinyl in this area. Which brings me to my only gripe...the mark-up on their records is a bit much. I love going to record shops to dig and for the experience but I have a hard time not looking at my phone for a cheaper price on discogs/eBay/Amazon 😱Edit: 04/17/2019 I decided to update my review upon receiving a response from the store owner of music boxx on my review. Mainly just to address the "prices" comment. First off let me start by saying...I love the shop. Music Boxx. I try and go there as much as I can. I stand behind the idea and concept of supporting local businesses..in this case, a record shop. The staff are indeed friendly..and its always been a pleasant experience. Which is why I come back.Now I've lived in Chicago and Arizona and I frequented the record shops there. Mainly Reckless Records(Chicago) and Zia Record Exchange(AZ). I've been to record shops around the country from Cali to Tennessee...New York to Ohio....and plenty in between...so I'm just making an observation really.I went to Music Boxx for RSD 2019 and it was my first time going to that shop for RSD. I only found 1 item that I wanted but that's not the point...I'm totally ok with that because I had fun.I picked up Ol Dirty Bastard's - Intoxicated 12" single.(r.i.p. ODB...I'm a fan but the record was not anywhere near the top of the list for this year's "must haves". Now granted it's RSD and I completely understand the concept of supply and demand. Music Boxx is the only place in this town(that I know of) to get vinyl unless you count target and best buy...which I don't!I love the store...seriously. And I love having a record right in front of me to look at before buying. This is just one example but in the end...this is just an observation based off my experiences.This is not at all a negitive review.Listening to and collecting records is a passion of mine. It's an expensive one so I do as much research as I can to get the best prices and deals without lowering my standards.SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL RECORD STORE!

Great selection of new and used, extremely knowledgeable staff. Always finding hidden gems and fantastic new music.
