Definitely the wildest record store and popculture store that I have ever experienced in my life. Their selection is absolutely unreal and its so well organized so its surprisingly easy to figure out if they have what you are looking for 😍💪 (Which they almost always have). I was in LA on Holiday and went back several times and kept finding more things that I would love to own. Furthermore the staff is super helpful and the prices are very reasonable almost no matter what you buy! It's also never really feeling crowded in any way because its so big, which is super nice when you just want to stand and admire all the rare items 🥰Overall a fantastic store that I would highly recommend anyone to visit on their trip to LA !

It wasn't as awesome as last year but it was awesome to see the place again. They should go more on the hunt fore more "out of print" rap CDs or tapes. Because I remember last year in 2021, they had a whole bunch and I spent more than $300 worth it goodies but overall...I love this place, regardless.

I love Amoeba Music 🦠 🎶My introduction to Amoeba was stumbling into their San Francisco location high from golden gate park in 2010 and being amazed at everything about it from their advertised live shows from bands like LCD Soundsystem to their wonderful t-shirt collection. At the time I had just moved to San Francisco to attend art school from Chicago and my mind was completely blown.Through the years, I’ve scene incredible shows at Amoeba and I even randomly met Henry Rollins walking out of their Hollywood location (at the time on sunset blvd and now here on Hollywood blvd) he was just shopping for records alone like you might imagine Henry Rollins would do. I asked him how he was so successful in music, acting and then writing for the LA Times and he told me he just liked working on things.I was sad to see that location close but I think it actually turned out great moving forward to Hollywood BLVD. It seems to be as busy as ever and maybe (dare I say) even a better location for a cool record shop like amoeba to be located!I’m not here to completely rag on online shopping but please remember that the world needs cool record shops like amoeba to have in person locations for people to stumble into high and meet their heroes! Support your local businesses even if you don’t “need” physical CD’s they are still cool to own! That goes forDVDs too and all the merch!

The most organized I've ever seen a vinyl store. The staff is very knowledgeable, they have a WORLD station in one corner of the store if you're looking for stuff like Japanese city pop. AC is great and has a parking lot that they can validate. Also, hilarious that Ska is on the floor.

This place is amazing! I was impressed by the size of it! They have a never-ending selection of music, from Vinyls, CDs, Tapes, etc. They also sell posters, books, tees, and other music items. The vibe was awesome, and the staff was very friendly and helpful! It's definitely my scene for a great selection of anything music!
