Crooked Beat Records

Crooked Beat is a great local record shop. Bill knows his stuff and always has a good rotating selection of new and used vinyl. Sometimes he releases some very special records when he has purchased someone’s collection, so keep an eye on their social media accounts. Given the issues that they were having with the building, I was excited to hear that he was staying local and only moving to Del Ray. The pictures are just some of the gems I’ve picked up here.

Terrible experience! BUYER BEWARE! I ordered 2 RSD Black Friday records off of their website and when I received them one of the records had 3 of the four corners damaged. Records were shipped in Cheap flimsy white corrugate media mailers that allow for damage to occur. Then when I contacted these guys the person named Bill Daly was argumentative and rude. They would not even send me a return label to send the record back they told me I would have to pay then they would reimburse me when they received it. So i sent it back to them, when they got it they emailed me that they refunded my money but the problem was that they shorted me money they owed me. They had said they would refund the cost of the record, the original shipping charges, plus the shipping cost to return it to them, but of course they did not fully refund me. MY ADVICE FOR ANYONE IS THAT YOU SHOULD AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS! Plus look at the immature responses this guy leaves about people when he gets negative reviews. He literally belittles and insults anyone who leaves him a bad review. That really helps back up my experience with him. Terrible customer service! Seller knows nothing about me. The records were for gifts. Like I said Crooked records and their owner are little people who want to argue with customers and also try to insult and belittle customers. Now you make things up in order to try to make yourself feel better. Grow up. I can't believe you own a business!

Great record store. You can find all kinds of records, from the old time rock & roll to the new music. If you are in the area I definitely recommend stopping by.

Great little record store. Great selection of local DC punk bands. Friendly staff. Wide selection of music. Coming back next year to see their new bigger store.

A hidden gem off the corner of Madison Street. Cozy little shop, reminds me of what I wanted my bedroom to look like in middle school. A grand selection of new and used vinyl. Decent pricing. Staff is very informative. I didn’t buy anything here today but this will be the first place I visit when I wanna get my hands on some vinyl.
