Originals Vinyl

In terms of quality of selection, hands down the best shop in San Francisco I visited and reviewed for Jazz records. Had some items I had never seen in any store (few Gary Bartz records) and made me greedy so needed to restrict myself and stick to the ‘wantlist’.Very friendly owner (?) with serious equipment for cleaning and even flattening warped records.If I had known what I know now, this would’ve been my first stop in San Francisco rather than my last but glad I squeezed it in.

Love coming here after I find records at estate sales. Get a nice record scrub, outer and new inner sleeves at a great price. Very cool help that don't give you attitude!

I haven't gone in but my son bought me a few records from there for my last birthday. Those who still have a record player will like this little store.

I was in SF visiting friends recently and one of them recommended Originals. I have been collecting vinyl for over 25 years (I'm 43) and this place was one of the best record stores that I have been to in the Bay area. Not my first time visiting SF and their awesome record stores, but this was my first time going to Originals. While it's not a large store, Originals has a well curated collection. Originals has good prices, an eclectic collection and it is an independent record store. I spent a bundle the first time that I went in and went back for more. Additionally, the records that I bought (all used, all over 30 years old) were in pristine condition. I have been burned elsewhere with regards to condition, but not here. If you are a fan of vinyl and a fellow collector, I highly recommend Originals.

Visited the store on Sunday,1st May 2022 around closing time at 4.30. Walked in and was instantly greeted by Ryan at the counter with a very warm smile. Walked straight up to him and handed over my long list of vinyls that i had to pick up. Ryan was extremely kind and helpful, he walked around the store and looked for all the ones that were available. Truly appreciate his help, as I am from India and had no clue about the music I was picking up for someone else. No hurry to wind up for the day, he gave me suggestions and options to make sure I don't end up with the ones that are not required. Highly recommend picking up ur Vinyls from here when in SF. 😇
