The Record Loft has a real cool thing going on and makes an awesome addition to the Atlanta metro area with a homey vibe inside. The front desk man is very chill / helpful and I had a notable experience with him when he let me listen to a live album by the death metal band, DEATH (which I had no idea existed!!) on the store record player right off of the display wall. Overall, the Loft has a far out selection ranging from obscure jazz...classic funk...movie soundtracks - you must please take a look for yourself!

I visit here often and it is consistently a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is excellent and the whole set up is inviting. There is such a huge selection of vinyl records from all genres. There is also a selection of stereo equipment. The owner is great to talk to and genuinely takes interest in music. The prices are excellent and look forward to having this store around for a long time!

Best selection of used records in the Atlanta area. Prices are extremely reasonable. Spent some time getting to know the owner and he was extremely kind and welcoming. Only regret I have is not having more time and money to spend in this shop. Highly recommend!

The Record Loft deals in vintage used records only, which is more fun to dig through (in my opinion) but also means your mileage may very if you’re looking for something specific or contemporary. Solid selection of curated album-era rock, with some country, soul, & reggae. Relatively large selection of jazz records but I am not going to pretend to know enough to have an opinion as to quality. This is not a place to go looking for a steal— there’s definitely some nifty stuff but it is priced accordingly. Plenty of parking. Downstairs smells like cigarette smoke if you are sensitive to that kind of thing. All in all, it reminded me a little bit of Fantasyland in that it seems aimed at the established collector more than someone just getting into vinyl.

I visited Record Loft today and the owner (presumably) was very rude to me. He said that any browsing in the $1 records is going to be limited to weekends. He also said it's a waste of his time to watch someone for 2 hours only for them to buy $2 worth. I was there for forty minutes and spent $20... He also said that buying $1 records (which he willingly sells) doesn't support the store. If you feel that way then don't sell them at all!! I will not be back.
