Best damn record shop! The owner is friendly, supportive and has a great sense of humor. Great selection, friendly staff, free pop, water or beer and amazing listening room. And Earl the shop dog is the best. Such a good boy.

This store is so much fun! There's a dog named Earl who's just the cutest and the owner gave us a beer while we browsed. Decent used and new section.

Vinyl Cup is the best, great mix of new and used. The listening room is comfy and cozy. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Prices are on target and frequently incredibly generous. Beer and other refreshments are offered up free. Flipping through records and sipping a beer is a perfect way to spend a few hours on a Saturday.

I love coming here and perusing the vinyl. I would say out of all the places in Des Moines for used vinyl this one has the most consistent selection. The sister (brother? Marv's) store is the place to go for new vinyl. Luke can come off as vulgar or rude but that's part of the charm of the place; he's easy to shoot the breeze with.
