I heard about this place from someone I bought a few records from at his garage sale. I made the half hour drive and spent another half hour looking for a parking spot only to walk in and be instantly insulted by the asking price of some rather standard-fare albums. Even the mark down prices were absurd. I left empty handed. I will not be going back.Edit to respond to owners reply: I know no brick and mortar store is going to have the same pricing model as a garage sale. I didn't bring it up to make that case. I also know there is a parking lot behind the store. It was full of cars unable to find a spot. There are other record shops I am familiar with that have better prices. I will be taking my business there.

Visited Scotti's for the first time today! I was hoping to find an immersive record store similar to Factory Records in Dover that was closer to me. Scotti's is fantastic! They have lots of CDs (what I primarily collect) for awesome prices, as well as tons of vinyl, DVDs, videocassettes, 8-Tracks, cassettes, T-shirts, etc. etc. Awesome place! I highly recommend checking them out! Here's a picture of the things I picked up there.

Decent shop, decent selection, eclectic mix, always worth a stop. Sometimes nothing but then they will have something you've been looking for for ages.

One of my favorite local shops! Always welcoming and plenty of records to look through! Great shop to dig at for Record Store Day!

As far as record stores go, this is one is more unassuming in its merchandising of records and store layout, which I really do appreciate. The wall of LPs above the register are typically higher value and often feature some really cool work. I personally look for very specific titles so I'm rarely in there just browsing, but I noticed their jazz selection is usually really good, I'm always surprised to see particular titles. However, I feel that the staff could improve their relationship with customers. I've been in the store one too many times to be spoken to with either a snarky or condescending attitude, which I find unpleasant and unbecoming of a business whose value proposition is selling wax music -- plain and simple. As a collector and music lover, I just wish there was a bit more conversation and appreciation for the music being sold, and less of a "If you don't buy anything, get out quickly" kind of vibe. Maybe it's just a hunch, I don't know, and I do like to support any record store I find, in whatever capacity I can, but I think Scotti's can improve on this a little bit. Just some constructive criticism there.
