Very sad this place is gone, its a real shame record stores can no longer exist, thanks to the landlords who milk them dry. At one-time there were many stores to choose from. With the likes of Kims, Rockit Records, the other side, Discorama, and many more, going out of business, the village doesnt have many record and CD stores to choose from. Everybody is looking on line for free. A collector of over 5,000 albums, and close to 4,000 CDS, its an awful shame you need the internet to get music now. A few stores are left in the village including Academy Records.

One of my favorite record stores to go to. A wide variety of vinyl. If you're willing to go fishing through the bins, you'll find some gems. From Cab Calloway to the Easy Rider sondtrack and the latest Black Keys album, the have what you're looking for.

Bleecker Street Records is a staple in the West Village. My sister used to work here back in the day. It used to be more punk. Now it's just a vintage record shop. Come in and see the largest cat you'll ever see. It was nice to walk down memory lane.
