This is the best of both worlds! I really hope this store makes it and I hope there can be cool ways to create community engagement (food trucks, cosplays, etc). I love that they have everything - books, records, posters, and figures! Their manga selection is great, I found sequels that I’d been looking for at Anime Pop and Kinokuniya for weeks. My husband is a record guy and I love anime and manga. We both have something here that we can enjoy. Their record selection is excellent: great picks in punk, metal, and alternative and lots of new and used. They also have a decent country selection! He mentioned liking a certain band, and the owner said they’d order several records from that band - at no obligation to him, just because!! The people are kind and helpful, and I didn’t feel any snobby or condescending tone like I normally do in record stores in Dallas. Kinda feels like the cast of Stranger Things just hangin’ out. Just some sweet, nerdy folks who like stuff and want others to like stuff too. We need more of this in Dallas!! This place is a gem. Pay them a visit!

I travel all over North America and visit record stores in every state and province, so I have to admit the store has a pretty good selection… in saying that most of it is WAY OVERPRICED. The staff ignored the customers that were there and played very obnoxious death metal that made my visit there shorter than it should have been. Few things there worth buying but the prices and the whole vibe put me off. Better going to Spinster Records in the Bishop Arts District or make the trek to Doc’s Records in Ft Worth.

Super cool, completely packed with loads of manga & figures. A must-go for any collector.

I came from Los Angeles to Dallas, Tx for the new years and wanted to come visit a comic book store but what i found wasn’t just a comic book store. They had an amazing variety of figures, statues, manga, records, comics, and more. I really enjoyed my visit to Black Car Records N Comics! Highly recommended!

I really enjoyed the experience of shopping in this spot. Well laid out with plenty of exciting treasures to dig through. Incredibly fair valuation on some tremendously rare finds too.
