I went there on a Tuesday, not knowing that there are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The door was locked but the owner was there and unlocked the door for me. Although he was clearly busy, he took a break from what he was doing. We talked about music and LP records. He made me listened to a few LPs as recommendations. You don't see that kind of service very often. It turns out that the only LPs I purchased in Quebec city was at Explosive Groove Disquaire. Highly recommended.

Not bad selection, but overpriced.

My son went here and was amazed by the broad selection of records on offer - including a heavy selection of 45s to choose from. Definitely worth hitting up this record shop if you're in the area

of course on my list of top record shops to #MustSee when visiting #VilleDeQuebec - it's in #Limoilou which is a short 20 minute walk north of the old city. This is very much Quebec's go-to for good old Jazz and African greats, the guy who owns the shop is super chill and - and like many shop keeps in Quebec he does indeed maintain a bit of a niche, lots and lots of jazz and blues and hiphop and deff stuff for collectors too, he's always got new vinyl in the bins from thelonious munk and coltrane, like always. i've been lucky too in my core genre's of acid house and electronic music, of which we don't get too much that easily in Quebec city (they all tell me to go to Montreal ;) ) - but he usually has some stuff to crate dig on the floor and i've found some real bangers too.love the shop keeplove the spotperfect old school record store layout.tonnes of african music raggae jazz and blues..make sure you go see them next time you visit quebec, you'll be sure to find some gems!
