They have an awesome selection and great staff. Overall an iconic part of Cap Hill. Found a Lil Uzi Vert CD I had been hunting. Great prices, very fair. Cool stickers too.

best selection of new vinyl in Denver. the people who run the shop clearly know music and stock a wide range of classic cuts across all genres, including experimental and esoteric stuff that's hard to find elsewhere. staff is friendly and always helpful, if you can't find something on the shelf, ask: it might be in backstock, or they might be able to order it. the complaints about prices are funny- everything I've found has been very reasonable, even items that are OOP or rare. of course collectible items in the used shop go for collectible prices, not sure why people are surprised by that.

I want to like this place, as the selection is decent. However, I’ve unfortunately not had the best experience with the staff and prices are a little higher than their local competition. Unfortunately, a brand new record I purchased was pretty badly warped out of the package and the staff wasn’t willing to return or replace it even after they listened to the record, compared it with the Spotify recording, and acknowledged that it didn’t sound quite right. There goes $30 down the drain. I like supporting local, but if their customer service is going to be like this, I’d rather purchase from places that guarantee the quality of the brand new products they sell.Reply to Owner:I appreciate the reply. I don't mean to go after small shops, as I do believe strongly in supporting local. After all, I had just spent almost $200 at your store the previous day. I was referring to comparing Wax Trax to other local stores, not Walmart or Target. As for our conversation, your offer was to come back at a later date (when more of that record came in) to compare the record I had purchased to another to see if the defect had propagated, not for a refund. The main issue was the obvious inconvenience I was causing and a comment that strongly indicated resistance to a return/exchange largely because the record company is a pain to deal with. Unfortunately, the annoyance of having to deal with the record company overruling the importance of keeping a repeat customer was off-putting and leads me to want to shop elsewhere. Giving you the benefit out the doubt, I'm sure that this was not what you intended to communicate, but that was my impression.
