LOVE this place. I’m a big classic rock nerd at 18 years old. I called the store ahead and asked if it was ok to take my senior photos here. The manager answered the phone and said it was absolulty fine and it would be a pleasure. Once we arrived I wasn’t sure because the outside of the store was a bit dumpy looking, still interesting though. I think it was mainly the area.We walked in and it felt like heaven. We again talked the the owner and he said let him know if we wanted some people in the back or clear it out. Very nice. The inside of the store is bigger compared to how it looks on the out. They had vinyl of new and old. All gernes. Mostly variations of rock. They also sold vintage record players, 8tracks, CDs, cassettes, and more. The walls were filled with posters. Had an absolute wonderful time. The prices are reasonable too. The day I went the store was celebrating 33 1/3 anniversary of being open, and giving free stickers out. Loved the history and how nice everyone was, and of course the store and sales itself. Will defiantly be retuning! It’s my favorite record store I’ve ever been too, and I’ve been collecting 3 years

Best music store in Tampa. Last 2 trips I picked up 6 rare UK 3 cd sets. Compilations of 50s & 60s R&B & Soul. Added 10 great titles to my collection.

Not being a local customer, I asked if it was possible to include special items in an order that would be shipped. Arrangements were agreed upon and the person with who I communicated let me know when it would likely be shipped, but once I provided the order's full list and the address I didn't get a reply. Pretty disappointed seeing as half of my cart was gone and I still had no update past the day when it would have been shipped.

My family loves spending time in Sound Exchange! It brings back the nostalgia of flipping through records and CD's back in the 80's and 90's. I wish they'd open back up in the Brandon area though; it's quite the trek over to suitcase city from Bloomingdale!

Happy to hear that customer DJ Suspiria, had a good experience having the Kenwood amp repaired. I took my Sony amp for diagnostics and was told by a female upon entering, that only amps sold at their store were looked at. (Wish I was told that over the phone when I called, then I wouldn't have had to haul it all the way down there.)
