So while we were exploring Bloomington, Indiana on our 20th anniversary trip, we came across a gem. Landlocked Music had so much variety. They had CDs, cassettes, lots of records, and even some 8 track tapes. What a fun place to shop. Definitely recommend checking this place out especially if you are looking for come vinyls to add to your collection.

This place is a joke. I went in and had so many records, and I know for a fact that some of them were high priced on ebay. The guy told me they were ruined with scratches which was wrong, and offered me 25 bucks because he thought I was ignorant to the situation. They say they will pay top price, but that's clearly false adverstiment

I often don't find exactly what I go in looking for here, but I always seem to leave with an unexpected gem.Edit: But that said, allow me to clarify that I'm often looking for something that's REALLY not commonly found, and yesterday I left with two records that I've been wanting for years. Love Landlocked!

This is the kind of store that (if you are on a budget) you should avoid at all costs. You will spend three, four, ten times what you think you will spend walking in the door. Financial warning aside, this is the best music store in the Midwest and easily one of the top ten beyond. There are maybe a few Westcoast vinyl shops that rival Landlocked, perhaps one or two in Chicago. Landlocked is a music lovers' pilgrimage destination, a sacred grotto for the musically inclined. It's a quaint, well-stocked store that strikes a deft balance between their contemporary, classic, and vintage holdings. Highly recommended. Props to the friendly staff. Only my bank account regrets that I live just blocks away. I now vow, publicly, and in sight of all, to limit my visits to just several a year.

Really disappointed by these guys. I came to sell and they teamed up and tried to scam me when I was getting a quote on my collection. They also claimed I was crazy for coming to them expecting a decent pay for a large collection, even though I called before I had come in for that reason. They claimed ‘small businesses don’t keep cash on hand’. Would warn anyone against selling to this store and wouldn’t recommend supporting a business that actively attempts to take advantage of their customers. Even once I declined the offer and began to exit the store they continued to attempt to manipulate me into believing they had given a good offer and had no valid counterpoints for why they valued it so little, other than the fact that they had no cash on hand.
