The Wax Museum

A dense selection of vinyl and CDs, used and new, backed by a highly knowledgeable owner. Drive away from Bozeman's overwrought Main Street and find some tasty bits here. We enjoyed it thoroughly. I had to cut myself off after a bit. Worth finding.

The Wax Museum, specializing in new and used vinyl, is a scrappy one-man-show built on a love for music. Few know the trade as well as Kels, the proprietor (and buyer, and stock boy, purchasing manager, et al) … he’s a walking encyclopedia of bands, labels, records, and reissues. This is a must-see shop for any vinyl-phile.

By far my favorite place to shop & browse for vinyl in Bozeman! Kels always has a great selection of new & used records, they're always priced right, and always cleaned and checked...can't ask for more! Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I went into The Wax Museum a few weeks ago on a recommendation from my cousin. I've been going several times a week since then. Kels has great prices and great music to choose from along with an incredible knowledge base of all genres of music. On top of that he remembers what kind of music I like and can make fantastic suggestions for me. What a great record store! I HIGHLY recommend making a visit to The Wax Museum!

What a killer shop, especially for a town like Bozeman. The owner is just the type of person you'd hope is running a shop like this. So happy to see a resurgence in vinyl and while you can get vinyl anywhere these days, it's important to support small operations such as the Wax Museum that are completely dedicated. Stoked that a shop like this has emerged in this town.
