If you leave a bad review for Variety Records you probably thought you were someplace else. Charlie is the archetype for what a record store purveyor should be. Knowledge. Vibe. Soul. Total package. And the best thing is that just a forty five mi it’s drive south of “music city” places you in Columbia, TN where there is a store that knows good music, not just one genre. If Charlie doesn’t know it, it doesn’t need to be known. This store is a gem.

This place had a really good vibe, there were a TON of old records, I'm sure there is a treasure trove of priceless collections hidden in there, I am a Music Producer/ Artist (Ghostmez_ent) so places like this are my second home, I imagine there are some samples in there among all that vinyl that could make a No.1 song, I'm really looking forward to going back and finding out!!! The guy Charlie working there was laid back and courteous and he made me feel welcome, I had asked if they had guitar picks for sale and he went behind the counter and pulled out one of his own guitar picks and gave it to me, stuff like that sticks to me, I never forget small gestures like that, I'm adding this guitar pic to my necklace to remind me that good people do still exist, anyways this place is AWESOME and I'll definitely be returning when I get some more cash. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Feeling the good vibes when you first walk in says it all...best overall selection and very cool folks who know their music. Fair pricing and big selection...if Charlie or Keith don't have it, they will get it no problem...new or slightly spun.

Charlie is the best. He knows his niche of record players and all the history/mechanics of them. He helped me understand an old record player I inherited and taught me so much. Thankful for experts like him!

Wish I could give 0 stars. Was harassed by some guy at the store who worked there with a white beard. He was narrating to his buddy about me while I shopped. He was also degrading these two girls that were in there as well. It made me extremely uncomfortable and I left immediately. I will never be back and will never speak positively about this place.
