The owner, Carey, is very helpful and patient. I went to a few record stores when I was starting my record collection but now I only go to Magnolia Records. Carey helped me choose my equipment (which I ordered from him) and is always willing to give me advice on any question. If I could, I would give him 6 stars.

Magnolia Records is a highly curated record store that sells both new and used records. The dude that runs the place, Carey, is super helpful and and makes awesome recommendations without being salesy or pushy, which is nice. You can get LPs, 7"s, CDs and some cassettes for very reasonable prices. In a time when online shopping has trumped the community record store or bookstore, Magnolia Records is an awesome reminder as to why we still need brick and mortar record stores. It's also one of the best places in Knoxville to get underground metal and hip hop.I've special ordered things from Carey for in-store pickup as well as mailorder and he always makes good on the orders, and follows up with you when things arrive. All around, one of the most unique record stores in Knoxville.

This store is ok, if you're looking for vinyl new reprints/reissues. They have good selection of hard rock, heavy metal, and punk music.

Tiny record store but the people working there are nice. The prices are decent but there is not much selection. What they do have is pretty good, mostly new stock in LPs, some CDs and some other odds and ends mixed in. Most of the music is newer rock but they have a nice folk and jazz section. Not much in the way of electronic and a slim metal section. If you are looking for a place with lots of inventory to get lost in, this may not be the store for you. On the contrary, if you know exactly what you want and you know they have it, it's a good quick stop.
