Excellent shop! The selection is clearly lovingly curated and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. Fair prices. Found some really great, unique used records here. Great spot for both amateur vinyl enthusiasts and seasoned collectors!

Love this place! The staff are friendly and helpful, the prices are fantastic, and the music selection is glorious. Love stopping here on a sunny afternoon to see what musical treasures I'll find! Like this Cyndi Lauper record I found today. Can't wait to listen!

Incredible selection of diverse music and the staff is super knowledgeable of everything in the shop. I recently picked up an older pressing of Paranoid by Black Sabbath and a few jazz albums I'd never heard before (I thoroughly enjoyed listening to all of them). This is a great shop for finding rare and unique records - it's definitely my favorite shop in Hampton Roads.

Thanks for Listening is one of the best record shops in Virginia Beach. They sell new and used records out of a little storefront on Laskin Road at the oceanfront, and their selection is so good. I picked up some rare soul and funk records and first pressings from Donald Byrd, Deodato, Creative Source, and some others on my first visit. I picked up some Lonnie Liston Smith from them a couple days ago. The staff are super knowledgeable and tastes are all over the map. One of the coolest things about the shop is the full set of turntables in the back: I walked in on a Saturday and the owner was casually spinning some A Tribe Called Quest records and some other hip-hop and soul singles. The place is open till 7pm most nights, and I hear local DJs will come play records just for kicks. It's a cool spot where the community can pick up some great records and listen to music from everywhere.

Good records, and good company. This shop currently has used records, but one of the owners said they were working on getting a shipment of new, sealed records as well. With things like bootleg copies of Woodstock recordings, to new wave, to jazz, this shop holds a delightful collection across many genres to surprise you. While in a tourist heavy area, I encourage locals to visit and become regulars as well.
