This is a wonderful little record shop loaded with treasures. Mitch is probably one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He is always eager to help you find what your looking for or make suggestions. You will be going back again and again. I used to shop at another music store in Brattleboro but was treated poorly because I wanted to exchange an expensive record that sounded like a rain storm. Next Chapter Records is my GO TO ! Give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.

what an unexpected gem on our way up route 5! mitch has curated a vast and varied selection of records, and a wealth of knowledge that shows an incredible passion for music. i ended up finding a bucket list record, and mitch went out of his way to ensure the pressing was clean and in good condition before purchase. i was blown away with his attention to detail and hospitality! i would recommend anyone with an interest in records or other audio media to check this place out - it is definitely worth the trip.

The most unexpected and awesome surprise driving home from southern Vermont up Route 5 and stumbling on Mitch's shop! Very nice, knowledgeable, with an EXCELLENT selection of new, used, and rare records. Will definitely be driving back to Putney just to stop here again.

We had some vintage records for sale that had come to us from a family member and they were gracious enough to look at them and give us a fair price for them.
