Budget Tapes & Records

A vinyl record store that has a 70 ish hippie style decor and been a establishment for over 30 years (or more in Kanawha City). They carry not only records, there is tapes, bohemian clothes,a adult section, lighters, pipes, jewelry, sandals,oils,tapestries, band t-shirts and many other items to choose from. It’s a wonderful and unique shop that you must visit if your in West Virginia there are not many like this around.

I am from out of state and is looking for record stores to visit! This place is amazing to visit. This store has everything like records, CDs, cassettes, posters, stickers, clothing and metaphysical items. Everyone working there was so friendly and helpful! I wish I had something like this in my hometown… I felt wonderful being in there. Thanks again am hoping to come back one day!

I am hitting 50 the end of this month and I have bipolar, ocd, ptsd, focal seizures, pancreatitis and type 2 diabetes. With my issues it's hard for me to find a decent place to go for my products. But Budget Tapes & Records is home to me. They not only have what I need they have outstanding customer relations. This is where I'll keep my business. I love all of them. They do such a great job with everything. I'd give them 10 stars but only 5 allowed. If you've never bought from them or ever thought about buying from them. DO NOT HESITATE lol. Went to check out Budget Tapes & Records and realized that there should be an "& more" on the sign. This is an amazing place to get lost in new/used vinyl, cd's, and much more. He has great prices on his used vinyl and it's priced to move. I'll definitely be back next time I visit the area.

Hands down the best store in charleston! The staff here are amazing, always kind to answer questions or show you some new products that just came in. I've been satisfied with every purchase I've made here. The incense smell amazing, I have too many favorite scents to choose from but definitely give the Harlequinn one a try. The tapestries are beautiful and well made. I have 3 hanging up in my apartment and can't wait to get another. The adult section is impressive, carrying almost anything you could be looking for. Only con on this is there isn't many options for plus size. Otherwise, knowledgeable staff and reliable products. The whole atmosphere of this store is incredible. Definitely check them out and give these good people your business! You won't be disappointed!!
