Twelve Inches and Single Records

Awesome record shop in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.Set up of the back streets of the suburban industrial neighbourhood of Wingfield lies this very cool find.Twelve Inches houses a large collection of records, tapes and CD’s, that seems to keep going and going as you explore the store, room by room.It also has a good collection of hardware, rock Tshirts, music magazines and memorabilia (currently unpriced, so you will have to ask)I would say the majority of the collection is prog rock from the 60’s and 70’s, but this humongous collection still has everything. I spent a good 90 minutes digging through the crates and pulled out some gold.Also, when I visited, they had a several box sets, and i walked away with a couple.Prices are good, maybe a little on the higher side for the 45rpm 7 inches, but pretty good on most of the other stuff. I think i did well on my purchases today.I was served by a super friendly lady who was playing some great tunes- thank you for your help today!Not a full commercial operation, so trading hours are a little shorter, as you would expect. Currently they are experimenting with Sundays- I think the weekend is a great time to visit.If you are vinyl collector- this store is certainly worth making the trip to- you will find what you’re looking for!

Fantastic hidden gem this place has so much to offer and at great prices, you could spend hours in here and also they have vintage stereo systems . Huge range from all genres of music. Excellent customer service definitely will be back to boost my collection

In a terrible place, stuck within factories and virtually no parking. But the store itself wS great and the owners are really nice. Wish there was more stores like this.

Great stock, wonderful value, musical knowledge and friendly service. Been more than once and always for longer than an hour so much to review. Always leave with a surprise album find. Get there! Get there now!

The best record shop in all of Australia.Very cheap prices and has a great range of metal, punk and hardcore.Just wish it was open more.
