I've been shopping here since 2016. One of the best record stores around. Lots of selection, both new and used in store and you can find tons of hard to find and rare/collectible records posted on their website almost daily, which you can order and pickup at their other location (record centre too) across the street from the main store. Prices are reasonable and the staff are very friendly, helpful and care a lot about vinyl. Definitely the place to check out for records in Ottawa.

This is by far my favourite place. Not just because of the vinyls but for the neighbourhood. I could spend hours in this store. Great vinyl selection. Regular new arrivals. Great prices and Friendly staff.

The Record Center is located on Wellington St. In Hintonburg & is the best vinyl store in Ottawa. Its Like a trip down Musical memory lane with all the nostalgic memorabilia everywhere and the amazing selection of record players and vintage stereo systems. The staff are super friendly and the owner John is usually there to greet you or exchange music tastes and stories. The vinyl collection is second to no one in Ottawa and make sure to check out the new arrivals bin first, for a hidden gem. Every genre under the sun is represented here and they pride themselves on their Jazz collection. So if you are a vinyl enthusiast, make sure to have the Record Center on your must visit list!

I was very impressed by the Record Centre. They've got a great selection of new and used records (even some hard to find new releases) and even a fun section of Japanese imports. Their selection of amplifiers and Turntables is also impressive! One thing that caught my attention at this store were the many people getting into the hobby with the staff explaining how turntables worked what kind of amp you need and what would be a good starting point. There was a certain passion for between all the staff working there, it's the first time I've seen such synergy in a record store. It's a shame I live in Europe, otherwise I would've made this store my go-to ones.

I love this place...good selection, new and old stuff and a bit of digging has turned up good scores every time I've come. Which is the most satisfying way to record shop.A fair bit of sweet classic audio gear, though I've never bought any yet. But it is stuff that would be friendly to those new to vintage equipment, and the staff is knowledgable, from my conversations tracking down turntable belts, cartridges and the like. They're in a pretty cool neighbourhood too.
