Visited The Turning Point with my daughter to find a few xmas movies and gifts and the staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to find what we were looking for, or even better! We will definitely go back for more treasures. It's also just a really cool place to check out. Thanks Dave, Will, Shawn and Nick!
Best video store in all of Ottawa. I have come very close to ordering things on Amazon, only to find them at Turning Point before I actually make the order.THE place for any cinefile.
I very much like that store and one of my go-to’s in the region. Great selection, imports, SACDs, music DVDs, etc. Courteous service.
We frequent Turning Point nearly everyday when we are working downtown and their record selection is always an adventure. They always put out great deals in their front new arrival bin, but you need to be lucky to snag them up! They have an upstairs full of vinyl which is picked over but you may find the odd one you are looking for.The store has an extensive CD and DVD collection as well with friendly staff on a whole who are willing to help you out. Nick makes this store tick and is great at dealing with the customers and treating you well. The vinyl game here is hit or miss but thats what we like most about it, because if you do manage to find a record you want its usually priced fairly and you grab it. I have been at other places where I find what I'm looking for but I am not willing to pay the price once I did.
It's a cool shop but I found there to be slim pickings in vinyl. I mean...lots of records upstairs but not much of the good stuff. I suppose it gets scooped up pretty fast when it comes in.Prices on the stuff that I did find were outstanding, though. So definitely worth a visit. Plus, Nick is a cool cat.
