Sadly in 2018 storefront sales of things like records are dying, and as a result places like this have way overpriced items. A Tori Amos 12" single that caught my eye was priced at $14, whereas it's available online for $1.99 plus $3 shipping. If this place was at all interesting or unique, or if the staff (the one woman present during my visit at least) didn't seem so unwelcoming and disinterested, it might make the difference.

Really great shop. I grew up in Hyattsville and I wish we had anything this cool here when I was younger and had more disposable income. Even still, better relate than never! Very cool and helpful staff, and a huge inventory of records (and books, and CDs, and some cassettes) with a great selection of new releases and classic used stuff, and lots of bargains. They also buy records so if you have an old collection to unload, give them a call (so I can end up buying your old records). Lastly, they seem to get new stuff in all the time, which is great. I’ve started trying to go at least once a week to see what’s new and always seem to find something cool.

Very cool shop and owner was kind to help us find what we were looking for. We snagged several great deals on Rolling Stones, Split Enz, Little Richard, and other LPs. We have added this store to our top 10 record stores in the area. Will definitely be back soon to see what else we can find.
